Black Coffee Masquerave
Set within the stunning architecture of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Masquerave was a one-night celebration of music, art, and culture, spotlighting Black South African heritage through sound and visual storytelling. The event transformed the museum’s courtyard into an immersive performance space, combining large-scale projection mapping, intricate lighting design, and a custom-built stage that complemented the museum’s iconic geometry. My main role was to design the stage, VIP lounge area, masking stations, and bar area — ensuring each element blended seamlessly with the venue’s architectural language and artistic narrative. The result was a powerful convergence of rhythm, light, and identity — merging cultural history with contemporary expression in one of the world’s most extraordinary venues.
